Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

This club is designed for students interested in exploring the dynamic field of business and developing essential skills for future careers. Through engaging activities, workshops, and competitions, members will gain practical knowledge in finance, marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. The FBLA Club focuses on building leadership abilities, enhancing business acumen, and fostering a network of future professionals.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA)

This club is dedicated to helping students develop leadership skills, explore career pathways, and make a positive impact in their communities. Through hands-on projects, leadership training, and community service initiatives, members will engage in activities that focus on personal growth, career readiness, and community involvement. FCCLA offers opportunities to work on projects related to family and consumer sciences, such as nutrition, childcare, and financial literacy, while also fostering teamwork and public speaking skills.

Future Farmers of America (FFA)

This club is dedicated to developing students' knowledge and skills in agriculture, horticulture, and related fields, while fostering leadership, personal growth, and community involvement. Members will engage in a variety of activities, including hands-on projects, leadership training, and agricultural competitions. The FFA Club focuses on practical experience through projects such as gardening, animal husbandry, and farm management, as well as opportunities to participate in local, state, and national FFA events.

HOSA - Future Health Professionals

This club is dedicated to students who are passionate about health professions and interested in learning more about various careers in the medical field. Members will participate in a range of activities, including health-related projects, guest speaker events, and competitive events that focus on medical knowledge and skills. The HOSA Club emphasizes the development of leadership abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to health and wellness through hands-on experiences and community service. Students will have opportunities to compete in regional, state, and national HOSA competitions, where they can showcase their skills and knowledge in areas such as medical terminology, health education, and emergency response.

Robotics / Technology Student Association (TSA)

This club combines the excitement of robotics with the broad scope of the Technology Student Association (TSA), offering a comprehensive experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Members will engage in hands-on robotics projects, design and build robots, and participate in various TSA events and competitions. The club focuses on developing technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork through building and programming robots, exploring emerging technologies, and competing in engineering challenges.

SkillsUSA

This club is modeled after the national SkillsUSA framework, where students hone their hands-on skills against current industry standards in more than 130 occupational areas, developing career-readiness skills, teamwork, communication, professionalism, and leadership.

This club is a competitive group where students come together to test their knowledge across various subjects, such as math, science, literature, history, and current events.

Beta Club

As part of the high school BETA Club, members will engage in a variety of activities that promote personal growth and positive change. The club focuses on fostering leadership skills, encouraging academic achievement, and contributing to the community through service projects and volunteer work. Members will have the opportunity to participate in leadership conferences, organize school-wide events, and collaborate on projects that benefit both local and global communities.

Chick-fil-A Leader Academy

The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy is a national high school leader program sponsored by Chick-fil-A at Epps Bridge. The program centers on students developing their leadership skills and impacting the community through positive actions.

Drama

This club is designed for students who love to act, tell stories, and bring characters to life. Through fun, engaging activities, members will explore the basics of acting, improvisation, and stagecraft while building confidence and communication skills.

Future Problem Solving

Future Problem Solving (FPS) is a team competition in which students complete a six-step process to analyze hypothetical future scenarios and develop creative solutions. It develops critical thinking, research, and writing skills through academic competitions on real-world topics such as technology, the environment, and society. Students identify underlying problems, brainstorm and evaluate solutions, and create an action plan to address challenges 20–30 years in the future.

Latin Honor Society

This honor society is dedicated to recognizing students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in Latin language studies and a strong commitment to classical culture. Members will engage in advanced Latin coursework, participate in scholarly discussions, and contribute to various projects that promote the appreciation of Latin and Roman heritage. The society focuses on fostering a deeper understanding of Latin through high-level language practice, cultural exploration, and community service.

Math Team

This club is designed for students who are enthusiastic about numbers, puzzles, and mathematical challenges. Each session, members will tackle a variety of mathematical problems, from intriguing puzzles to advanced equations, and explore different areas of math, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. The club focuses on fostering a love for math, enhancing problem-solving skills, and promoting critical thinking through engaging activities and collaborative learning.

Mock Trial

This club is designed for students interested in the legal system, public speaking, and the art of argumentation. Each session, members will engage in simulated court cases, role-playing as attorneys, witnesses, and jurors, to practice presenting arguments, examining witnesses, and making legal decisions. The club focuses on developing critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills through hands-on experiences in mock trials and legal simulations.

Model United Nations

This club is designed for students interested in international relations, current events, and the complexities of global governance. The club focuses on developing skills in research, debate, negotiation, and teamwork through interactive discussions and mock sessions. Students will have the opportunity to attend Model UN conferences, where they can collaborate with peers from other schools, debate policy proposals, and work towards resolutions on pressing global challenges.

National Art Society

Relay For Life

This club is dedicated to supporting cancer research and raising awareness through the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life events. Members will participate in and organize fundraising activities, awareness campaigns, and community events to support cancer patients and fund crucial research. The club focuses on promoting teamwork, leadership, and community engagement while working toward eradicating cancer.

Science Club

Students will have opportunities to work on individual and group projects, participate in regional and national TSA competitions, and collaborate with industry professionals. The H.E.R.O. Club is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has opportunities to have a friend. This club's mission is to promote a caring community and friendships between non-disabled and disabled students.

Student Council

This club is designed for students who are passionate about making a difference, representing their peers, and organizing exciting school events. Members of the Student Council will work together to plan and execute school activities, address student concerns, and promote school spirit.

Thespian Honors Society

The Thespian Honors Society is a prestigious organization for high school students who excel in the dramatic arts. It is part of the International Thespian Society, which recognizes and honors student achievement in theatre. Members are typically inducted based on their participation in school plays, musicals, and other theatrical productions, as well as their dedication to the craft of acting, directing, stage management, and other aspects of theatre.

Art Club

This club is designed for artists eager to explore their imagination and develop their artistic skills. Each week, students will engage in a variety of hands-on projects, using different media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media. Whether your child loves to doodle, paint, or craft, our Art Club offers a fun and supportive environment to experiment, learn, and express themselves.

Book Club

This club is perfect for students who love reading and want to explore a variety of genres and stories. Each session, members will discuss their favorite books, participate in engaging reading activities, and discover new and exciting titles. The club encourages a love for literature through book discussions, creative projects, and fun reading challenges.

Chamber Orchestra

This group is dedicated to students who play string instruments, including violin, viola, cello, and bass. Members will work together to perform a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical compositions to modern arrangements. The ensemble focuses on developing technical skills, musicality, and ensemble cohesion through regular rehearsals and performances.

Chess Club

This club is perfect for students who love the challenge of chess or want to learn more about the game. Each session, members will engage in friendly matches, practice different strategies, and learn advanced techniques from experienced players. The Chess Club focuses on developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and patience through both individual and team play. Students will have opportunities to compete in local tournaments, participate in chess-themed events, and improve their game through collaborative learning and practice.

Civics Club

The Civics Club aims to educate and engage individuals in the principles and practices of citizenship. Civics club fosters a deeper understanding of government, civic responsibility, and community involvement. We encourage active involvement in community affairs through volunteering service projects and advocacy for local issues.

Craft Club

The purpose of this club is to foster creativity, community, and collaboration among students through creating various crafts to give back to our community. We aim to provide a welcoming environment where individuals of all skill levels can share ideas, learn new techniques, and inspire one another. This club was created to help promote mental health awareness and spread positivity through crafting.

Culture Club

The Culture Club is a student-led organization. Our purpose is to learn about the various cultures represented in our school, community, and world. Monthly meetings are held in which we learn about other cultures and participate in related activities. All students are invited to join us!

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Club is open to all students who want to explore their faith in a positive and encouraging environment. The club focuses on building character, developing leadership skills, and fostering a strong sense of community among students.

French Club

This club is designed for students who are eager to learn French and explore the rich heritage of French-speaking countries. Each session, members will engage in interactive activities such as language practice, cultural discussions, and French-themed events. The club focuses on developing language skills through conversational practice, games, and multimedia resources, while also offering opportunities to delve into French culture through cooking, music, films, and festivals.

German Club

This club is designed for students interested in learning about the German language and exploring German-speaking cultures. Humane Society

This club is dedicated to promoting animal welfare, compassion, and community outreach through various activities and projects. Members will engage in efforts such as organizing fundraisers for local animal shelters, participating in adoption events, and creating awareness campaigns about responsible pet ownership. The club focuses on educating students about animal care, welfare issues, and how to make a positive impact on animal lives.

Leo Club

Leo Club is a youth service organization sponsored by the Oconee Lions Club. The club offers young people opportunities to develop leadership skills and serve their community through various school and local events, including the Oconee Fall Festival, the Watkinsville Christmas Parade, Secret Santa, Lions Club events, and teacher appreciation activities.  Our service primarily focuses on elderly care and helping those in need. The "LEO" acronym stands for Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity.

MedLife

This club is dedicated to empowering students to make a difference in global health through hands-on projects and educational experiences. Members will engage in a variety of activities focused on improving healthcare access, raising awareness about health issues, and supporting communities in need. The club focuses on developing a deeper understanding of healthcare challenges, enhancing leadership skills, and fostering a commitment to service through projects such as health education campaigns, fundraising events, and volunteer work. Students will have opportunities to participate in MedLife initiatives, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to meaningful global health projects.

Miracle Club

This club is dedicated to supporting and fundraising for children’s hospitals and organizations that provide critical care and support to children in need. Members will engage in various activities to raise awareness and funds for pediatric healthcare, including organizing fundraising events, participating in charity drives, and collaborating with local hospitals. The club focuses on fostering compassion, leadership, and community involvement through hands-on projects that directly impact the lives of children and their families.

The Pickleball Club aims to bring students together in a fun, active, and inclusive environment, fostering teamwork, communication, and a sense of community spirit. Polyhedron Society

Polyhedron Society is a club dedicated to improving critical thinking, writing, and interpersonal skills through tabletop games.

Robotics

Students collaborate in teams to design, build, program, & operate a robot that can successfully complete the challenge given each September through FIRST Tech Challenge. During this process, students develop and refine important skills such as working in teams, problem-solving, taking the initiative, advocating for their ideas, and many more.

Spectrum

Spectrum is a student-run club and social network that creates a safe space for LGBTQ+ students and allies to build a healthy community and an inclusive school culture at North Oconee High School.

Step Team

This dynamic group is dedicated to the art of stepping, a percussive dance form that combines rhythm, movement, and teamwork. Members will learn and perform intricate step routines featuring synchronized footwork, clapping, and body movements, set to energetic music. The team focuses on developing strong coordination, musicality, and team spirit through practice and performance.

Stock Market Club

This club is designed for students who are interested in learning about the stock market, investment strategies, and financial management. Members will engage in activities such as tracking stock performance, analyzing market trends, and participating in simulated trading exercises. The club focuses on developing financial literacy, analytical skills, and an understanding of market dynamics through hands-on experiences and educational resources.

StudentsBuild

StudentsBuild is a service club that promotes STEM education to younger children. Club members serve at elementary school STEAM nights and host kids' workshops throughout the year.

Volleyball Club

The Volleyball Club is a student-led organization that promotes friendly competition, fosters teamwork and leadership, and provides students with an opportunity to stay active. The club meets, trains, and plays on the sand courts at NOHS and Herman C. Michael Park. All are welcome!

Wishing Crane Project

The Wishing Crane Project (TWCP) is a 100% student-run nonprofit organization that creates arts and crafts for hospices and hospitals in our community.  The mission of TWCP is to instill positivity and alleviate the feelings of loneliness that hospice and hospital patients commonly experience through gifting patients origami cranes, cards, and care packages.

Wellness Club

The Wellness Club is dedicated to promoting students' mental, physical, and emotional well-being. We meet to support one another, build healthy habits, and create a positive impact on our school community. Through activities, discussions, and service projects, we focus on enhancing overall wellness and creating a healthier, happier environment for everyone at our school.
