Testing Information

Advanced Placement (AP) is a College Board program offering college-level courses and exams for high school students, enabling them to earn college credit or advanced placement in college. AP courses provide rigorous, in-depth subject matter, and high-performing students can gain an academic edge with college admissions and potentially reduce the time and cost of their college education.

Each Fall, typically in October, the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is administered to all 9th and 10th grade students. Students will need to have access to their College Board Account in order to take the PSAT, SAT or any Advanced Placement exams. Students will access the Bluebook APP on their Chromebook during the week prior to testing to ensure access and that their computer has the most updated version.

Accommodations

Because the approval process can take up to seven weeks, it’s best to start well before the test date. For students with disabilities to receive accommodations on any college board test, they must apply for accommodations with College Board. This must done independently of the school. Visit: https://accommodations.collegeboard.org/ for details and to register.  Deadlines are listed at this link. 

Fall Semester Final Exams: December 17-19

*Afternoon bus transportation will run at the normal time on Dec. 18th and 19th. Information will be provided regarding exam exemption and open campus parent permission forms allowing students to leave campus at 11:25 after final exams. Students cannot check out during exams.

 

Georgia Milestones for High School Students

Schools administer the Georgia Milestones End of Course Assessments to students in designated courses to measure achievement in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Courses with an End of Course assessment are Algebra, Biology, Literature and Composition II (10th Grade), and U.S. History. Testing will be administered over multiple days, depending on the course.
